Summer in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Area

It won’t surprise you to learn that summer is the most popular season for trips to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama—the beach and summer vacations go hand in hand. The summer months, when the sun is shining its brightest and both kids and college students are out of school, are definitely when the Gulf Coast is most lively. Although our beach communities are worth visiting any time of the year, everyone should experience summer in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area at least once in their lives.

Our beachfront condo rentals are happening places to be every summer. The common areas are bustling with activity, so you can meet new friends in the swimming pools and lazy rivers, challenge someone to a game of tennis or basketball, or barbecue with another family on the patio. When you’re in the mood for privacy, retreat to your own spacious condo. There’s always peace and quiet to be found on a gulf-front balcony no matter how many people are stirring below.

There’s no shortage of fun summer vacation activities to do and events to attend in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The Hangout Music Festival draws some of the biggest names in music for a concert at the beach every May, with other shows taking place at The Wharf Amphitheater throughout the season. Many sporting competitions are held in summer as well: sailing, fishing, golf, and more. If this is a family beach vacation, your kids will love going on a dolphin cruise or taking a day trip to nearby Adventure Island, an amusement park, or Waterville USA, featuring the best waterslides in the state.

Of course, we can’t forget the beaches themselves! Orange Beach and Gulf Shores boast miles of pure white sand and gentle, warm waters you can splash around in from morning to night. Even though you’ll be here during the hottest months of the year, the mild climate and gulf breeze will keep you comfortable no matter where you go. Build sandcastles with the kids, play Frisbee or volleyball, have fun floating in an inner tube, and wind down the evening with a relaxing walk down the coastline.
