We sometimes forget to be grateful for all of the men and women who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. On our sugar-white shores, it’s during dawn’s early light or in an evening of a firework rockets’ red glare that we slow down enough to appreciate those brave individuals who defended us. This is especially true during the observance of Memorial Day.
