Give your car a break and cross the bay on the Mobile Bay Ferry. The Mobile Bay Ferry operates year round, using both of its ferries, the Fort Morgan and the Marissa Mae Nicole, during peak operating seasons.

Ferries take visitors from Fort Morgan to Dauphin Island or from Dauphin Island to Fort Morgan. Fort Morgan is just a short drive from our Orange Beach rentals and Gulf Shores condos.

What To Expect

The ferry ride lasts about 40 minutes, and takes you across Mobile Bay to a convenient landing point at either Dauphin Island or Fort Morgan (depending on the direction you take). Please arrive 30 minutes to an hour before departure to help guarantee your spot on the ferry. While riding the ferry you are welcome to get out and admire the bay, the rigs, and our wildlife. Many ferry riders spot dolphins, along with pelicans and other seabirds.

Save yourself a two hour drive (or four hour drive round trip) by riding the scenic Mobile Bay Ferry! It's a highlight for many who visit our Gulf Shores rentals and Orange Beach condos.
